This scale model represents a design proposal for a headquarters office building with an additional podium, created for the Shenzhen Qianhai Huatai Project Design Competition. The model, crafted at a 1:200 scale, employs a conceptual representation approach.
The primary challenge in crafting this model lies in the facade curtain wall’s unique variation for each individual unit. The facade is not a standard plane; each unit features expressed concave-convex relationships and is framed, introducing a high level of difficulty for manual production. The curtain wall was ultimately produced using acrylic CNC technology for carving, followed by line engraving and polishing. The interior adopts a frosted effect, while the outer frame is created using 3D printing and finished with silver metallic paint, effectively showcasing the rhythmic variations in the building’s design on the physical model. This meticulous execution vividly expresses the designer’s vision.
Additionally, the model incorporates interior core lighting effects to enhance the building’s atmosphere. Detailed depictions of balconies and interior spaces include greenery, furniture, and scenes of human activities. The landscape base and peripheral architectural blocks are constructed using maple wood, and the ground features wooden scenes of cars and human activities. The final result combines abstract art with reality, showcasing a unique visual effect through the collision of different materials such as green trees, wooden base, frosted acrylic curtain walls, and metallic frames. For more information, please visit our official website: www.qzymodels.com.
