Description of Hengqin New Neighborhood Residential architectural model:
【Project introduction】The “Macau New Neighbourhood” in Hengqin, managed by Macau Urban Renewal Limited, involves land planning and construction. Located in the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone, it covers about 190,000 square meters, serving as the mainland’s first multifunctional community specifically designed for Macau residents. This comprehensive project integrates housing, education, elderly care, and medical facilities, with 27 residential buildings using eco-friendly prefabricated construction methods to provide around 4,000 fully furnished units.
Construction began in late 2020, and it’s scheduled for completion by the end of 2023. The buildings are connected by sheltered walkways for residents, while public areas incorporate Southern European style and unique Macau elements, such as Portuguese-style stone squares, fostering a distinctive sense of familiarity. The “Macau New Neighbourhood” will offer facilities aligned with Macau standards, enhancing convenience for Macau residents working and living in the cooperation zone.
【Production process】The QZY Models team created a marketing display model for the “Macau New Neighbourhood” project, showcasing advanced craftsmanship and the ability to overcome industry-standard production techniques.
In the construction of the road section, we employed stainless steel electroplating technology to give the road surface a distinctive metallic texture. Simultaneously, acrylic UV printing technology was utilized for ground installation, marking a pioneering use of one-time printing technology in the marketing display of residential details, setting a new industry precedent.
Furthermore, we boldly embraced 3D printing technology for the entire building’s physical structure. Unlike traditional modeling approaches, almost all architectural elements, excluding the glass curtain wall, were produced through 3D printing. We successfully addressed challenges related to the widespread use of 3D printing on building facades, particularly refining the precision of facade detailing. Through meticulous testing, we achieved a remarkable 0.2mm precision, surpassing the industry standard of 0.3mm, showcasing a higher level of precision control in model production and a significant leap in detail presentation.
The success of this project not only underscores QZY Models’ leading position in craft and technology but also highlights our adept application of advanced techniques and meticulous attention to detail.
