Project Overview:

The forefront force of China’s smart manufacturing industry, Gree Electric Appliances, will have its new headquarters, the Gree Global Center, completed in Zhuhai, Hengqin by 2025. Designed by Atelier Apeiron and embodied in a physical model crafted by QZY Models, reflects the seamless fusion of innovation and outstanding design, perfectly embodying the original intent of the design expression.

From Test Sample Production to Highly Refined End Product:

We meticulously crafted a 1:1000 scale master plan model initially to pave the way for in-depth discussions with the client to help refine the design. Throughout the project, we precisely considered material selection, scale proportioning, detailing depth, and the portrayal of lighting effects in the model, striving for perfection. Once the master plan model was finalized, we spent 3 days producing a highly detailed 1:200 scale prototype model to test how to achieve the desired effects on the large model. Testing various facade detailing and presentation methods, uniformity of lighting effects, continuous color temperature tests, repeated attempts at interior color, furniture, plant, and human proportion spatial relationships, we finalized the prototype in just 6 days, achieving a high level of precision and finesse with the final model standing approximately 1 meter tall. It presented an exceptionally exquisite artistic model, showcasing such fine detail in such a short time, demanding a high level of expertise from the model production team.

Showcasing Design Highlights:

Our model accurately mirrors the unique form, layout, and spatial relationships of the Gree Global Center building, Frosted materials and a predominantly white color palette accentuate the sleek aesthetic, while innovative design elements, such as modular space systems and a tree-like structure, add artistic flair and functionality. Its overall color tone is simple but not plain, appearing grand from afar yet rich in detail up close.

Our model provides excellent evidence for feasibility studies and design, provides insight into exterior facade effects, spatial relationships with neighboring structures, and interior space design.
