The Hailongwei Sci-Tech Innovation Zone, one of Liwan’s key development platforms, is a cutting-edge area in the tech and innovation sector with an annual output value exceeding billions. It is actively embracing new-generation technologies like AI, digital economy, biopharmaceuticals, and more, making it a potential powerhouse for scientific innovation in not only Liwan and Guangfo but also the Greater Bay Area.

Yun Ku Industrial Valley is among the first parks to open in the Hailongwei Sci-Tech Innovation Zone, setting a model for the area. With a focus on scientific and technological innovation, it spans biopharmaceuticals, commercial services, cultural creativity, green technology, and innovation incubation.
The goal is to create a comprehensive science and technology industrial park that integrates industry, academia, research, and business. The park provides tailored services covering the entire business cycle. The Yun Ku Industrial Valley project covers approximately 25,000 square meters and boasts a total floor area of about 100,000 square meters. With ten buildings, it offers diverse and efficient office spaces to meet the needs of enterprises at different scales and stages. These spaces provide a high-quality office environment along with convenient park facilities. 
The park creatively employs vertical greenery, tall trees, and terrace gardens to make the most of the space. Simultaneously, it establishes an elevated connecting corridor, forming a vertical internal transportation network that enhances communication and facilitates movement within the park.

Design processQZY Models was entrusted by Guangzhou Ruimeng Investment to create the architectural model for the Yun Ku Industrial Valley exhibition hall. The final model of the 1:100 scale, measuring approximately 4m by 3m, was completed within two months.

The model’s design complements the spatial layout of the exhibition hall, effectively showcasing the overall architectural style and design details. After crafting the sample prototype of the building blocks, we engaged in extensive discussions with the client to fine-tune the design. We successfully addressed several challenges through innovative solutions and carefully considered materials, techniques, and lighting, resulting in a highly refined end product.

Difficulties】Material Selection: In addition to the common acrylic and ABS materials, this model incorporates a significant amount of electroplated steel sheets. These sheets undergo specialized processing to tailor their texture to match the design style of both the exhibition hall and the overall model, thus achieving the optimal visual effect.

The extensive use of steel sheets demands precise control over dimensions and error margins to ensure a seamless fit. The quality of adhesives is also paramount during the assembly process, as any mishaps could lead to increased costs for rework and repairs. Hence, the oversight of experienced project managers becomes essential in maintaining strict control over every step of the production process.
